Alpha Cd Diverter Valve Motor 1.018064
This Diverter Valve motor / actuator is the device that drives the diverter valve open giving customers hot water or heat to the radiators depending on the demand required. This motor is normally 240V Ac and is powered and controlled by the printed circuit board (Pcb) within the boiler. The motor is attached to the diverter valve via a clip and can be released by removing the clip. The most common reason the motors fail is because water leaks from the diverter valve down the driver pin and into the motor which in turn shorts out the electrics and blows the fuse on the printed circuit board.
When changing the motor you must check to see if water is present because if a new motor is fitted and water is still leaking down the driver pin the new motor will short out and fail.
